SEURAT ADMINISTRATOR
PROCEDURES FOR MANAGING USERS
For purposes of securing the confidential and sensitive patient data, the SEURAT Clinical application requires the end-user to log-in to the system using a username and password. The User Manager component of the SEURAT Administrator application allows the database administrator to create new users, modify the passwords of existing users, and delete unneeded users.

Press the "Database Administration" button that appears at the top of the screen. The Database Administration window appears, as seen below in Figure 2.

Select "User Manager" from the list of update actions in the Database Administrator window. The User Manager window appears, as seen below in Figure 3.

Select "New User," as shown in Figure 3, above.
Enter the new user's username in the appropriate field.
Enter the new user's password once, and again for confirmation, in the appropriate fields.
Press the Save button to save the user information (lower-right; the button with the disk and pencil icon). A message will appear indicating that the user has been created.
Press the Cancel button to cancel creating the user at any time, or to close the User Manager window when done managing users.

Select "Modify User," as shown in Figure 4, above.
Select the appropriate user from the list of existing users. Use the up and down arrows to the right of the Existing User box to scroll through the list. When the appropriate user name is displayed, click on it once to highlight it.
Enter the user's new password once, and again for confirmation, in the appropriate fields.
Press the Save button to save the user information (lower-right; the button with the disk and pencil icon). A message will appear indicating that the user has been modified.
Press the Cancel button to cancel modifying the user at any time, or to close the User Manager window when done managing users.

Select "Delete User," as shown in Figure 5, above.
Select the appropriate user from the list of existing users. Use the up and down arrows to the right of the Existing User box to scroll through the list. When the appropriate user name is displayed, click on it once to highlight it.
Press the Save button to save the user information (lower-right; the button with the disk and pencil icon). A message will appear confirming that you want to delete this user. Press "Yes" to continue deleting the user, or "No" to cancel.
Press the Cancel button to cancel deleting the user at any time, or to close the User Manager window when done managing users.
