Genome Informatics Postdoctoral Positions

Postdoctoral fellowships sponsored by the National Library of Medicine are available for molecular biologists to acquire informatics skills working as part of several major genome-related projects at Yale, including Yale's recently established Center for Genomics and Proteomics. The positions involve developing innovative databases and computer-based tools to support and enable genomic research, helping analyze genome project data, and helping with related academic and teaching activities. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in the biological sciences and significant experience with computer programming and technology. Neuroinformatics Postdoctoral Positions

Postdoctoral positions are available for neurobiologists or molecular biologists to acquire informatics skills working at Yale as part of the national Human Brain Project. The positions involve:

developing innovative databases and computer-based tools to support and enable neuroscience research

helping refine and maintain related Web-accessible databases

helping with related academic and teaching activities

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in the biological sciences and significant experience with computer programming and technology. Database experience and WWW programming knowledge is a plus. Clinical Informatics Postdoctoral Positions

Positions are available for Clinical Informatics postdoctoral fellowships sponsored by the National Library of Medicine. Candidates should have considerable computer programming experience. Clinician candidates should preferably have completed residency training. Fellows will participate in a variety of training activities and informatics research and development, such as building tools to support computer-based clinical practice guidelines, to support multi-institutional clinical research, and to help relate clinical data to genomic data. Informatics Postdoctoral Positions at the West Haven VA

Positions are available for Clinical Informatics postdoctoral fellowships sponsored by the VHA. Physician candidates should have completed residency training. Fellows will participate in a variety of training activities and informatics research and development at the VA, such as working with large VA Health Information System databases to support multi-institutional clinical research, and helping to relate clinical data to genomic data.
